Some Basics to Consider When You're Deciding Where You Want
to Live

Proximity to work centers, highways, public transportation and other transit
will have a great impact on your quality of life.
Basic services should be easily accessible, like grocery stores, restaurants, post
offices, dry cleaners, gym, activity centers, etc.
Hospitals and medical care should be within a reasonable driving distance.
Proximity to parks and recreation facilities is helpful, especially if you have
children.
Quality of schools, nursery schools and universities. Visit the schools and ask
about the test scores, if there are any news on re-zoning, college acceptance
